In the depths of every orphaned child lies a single wish: to feel the tenderness and warmth of a family. The loss of a father is the loss of an entire world of love and protection. For this reason, our true religion has urged us to care for the orphan, making it one of the greatest acts of devotion to Allah. Indeed, sponsoring an orphan is not merely an act of charity, but a religious and moral duty upon every capable person.
Society bears the responsibility of caring for its members, especially vulnerable groups such as orphans. Ulfah strives diligently to provide the necessary protection and support for them, with the aim of building generations capable of contributing to the progress of society.
Statistics indicate that the number of orphans is constantly increasing, especially in regions witnessing conflicts and wars, which highlights the urgent need to support and care for them.
Over the past ten years, Ulfah has dedicated its efforts to providing a dignified life for orphans, offering them comprehensive care that includes both material and emotional aspects.
$1,510,150 US Dollars is the amount Ulfah invested during the last decade to provide a dignified life for 30,203 orphaned children during the period from 2014 until mid-2024. Ulfah efforts were not limited to these aspects only, but extended to include:
Providing a stimulating environment for learning and creativity.Organizing recreational events and providing gifts.Offering assistance that contributes to drawing a smile on the faces of orphans.
As part of its endeavor to provide a stimulating environment for the comprehensive growth of orphans, Ulfah implemented an integrated program of recreational and cultural activities, which included: (entertainment parties, religious competitions, various educational games). This aimed to enhance self-confidence among children and provide an enjoyable experience that contributes to the development of their skills and abilities.
Orphan sponsorship is crucial for orphaned children, offering hope and shaping future generations. Sadly, low awareness has caused a drop in sponsorships. Yet, success stories abound, like the war-orphaned girl who, thanks to sponsorship, returned to school and now dreams of teaching others facing similar challenges. These stories emphasize the urgent need for ongoing support for these vital projects.
More than 100,000 children in northern Syria live without a father, wounded by wars and disasters, and deprived of a happy childhood. Sponsorship is the glimmer of hope that illuminates their darkness. Through it, we have been able to provide them with the necessary protection and support to build a better future. Sponsorship continues throughout the orphan’s childhood until they reach the age of fifteen, covering all their basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, and education.
In addition to monthly sponsorship, Ulfah provides in-kind assistance to orphans, distributed as follows: Winter Clothing: Ulfah sponsored the winter clothing for 300 orphans. Heating Materials: 10 tons of fuel were distributed to them to heat their homes. Sacrificial Meat: 300 meat portions, weighing 3.5 kg each, were provided to orphaned families. Food Baskets: 300 food baskets were provided, which contributed to directly improving their living conditions and alleviating the burdens on their families.

Ulfah faces significant challenges in light of the continuous increase in the number of orphans, but it is continuing on its path to provide them with the best services. In order to be able to face these challenges, we call on all members of society and institutions to cooperate and partner with us to build together a society that is more just and merciful towards orphans.
The issue of orphans is a humanitarian issue that deserves all of us to contribute to building a bright future for them. Orphans are a trust in our care, and our responsibility towards them requires us to provide them with everything they need in terms of care and protection so that they grow up in a safe environment.
