Ulfah is making diligent efforts to improve living conditions in impoverished areas of Nigeria by implementing multiple projects aimed at enhancing livelihoods and providing them with a dignified life.

Bread is the staple of daily meals in impoverished countries and conflict-affected regions.
With rising poverty rates and a shortage of food resources, providing bread remains crucial for alleviating hunger and supporting family resilience.
For this reason, Ulfah launched its humanitarian project to distribute free bread in several affected countries, including Syria, Sudan, Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, and Ghana.
This initiative aims to ensure food security and support the most vulnerable populations, with approximately 3,100,000 beneficiaries to date.

A Daily Loaf, A Daily Hope

In Sudan, Ulfah successfully implemented a free bread distribution initiative, providing 600 bundles of bread to 4,500 individuals from impoverished families in various regions. This project delivered one of life’s most essential daily necessities, significantly improving the nutritional status of many families suffering from chronic poverty.

Bread : A Lifeline in Syria

In Syria, Ulfah recognized bread’s critical role and initiated daily distributions to the most vulnerable families. Since 2019, the initiative began in Idlib, distributing 350 bundles of bread daily, and later expanded to rural Aleppo with 300 bundles daily. This project has eased the food crisis for thousands of Syrian families, ensuring a basic daily need despite harsh conditions.

The "Loaf of Life" in a Besieged Land

In besieged Gaza, Ulfah launched the “Loaf of Life” project amidst a severe humanitarian crisis. Initially, the project distributed 48,000 bundles of bread to 328,000 people. With recent escalating events, Ulfah doubled its efforts, distributing over 17,000 bundles of bread to 16,600 families, reaching more than 2 million people. Here, a loaf of bread has become a symbol of hope in the face of siege and aggression.

Bread as a Bulwark Against Hunger

In Yemen, where millions face the threat of hunger, Ulfah’s “Loaf of Life” project has been crucial in enhancing food security. 13,600 bundles of bread were distributed, benefiting approximately 68,000 people, alleviating the suffering of affected families and meeting one of their most essential needs during difficult circumstances.

Baking Hope Amidst Crisis

Facing successive economic and living crises in Lebanon, Ulfah stepped in to ensure bread reached needy Lebanese families. Over 19,000 bundles of bread were distributed during the year, providing this essential item to more than 95,000 people. This initiative met an urgent need for families, ensuring bread reached their tables during the toughest times.

Sustenance for Vulnerable Communities

In Ghana, Ulfah’s initiative directly eased the burden on impoverished families by distributing 450 bundles of free bread to individuals. The project secured a daily food need and bolstered food security for the most vulnerable communities.

The bread distribution initiatives by Ulfah Organization have demonstrated that humanitarian action can create real change in the lives of local communities. By ensuring that families have daily access to this essential food staple, Ulfah helps fight hunger and promote food security in the most challenging circumstances.
Through our bread projects in Syria, Sudan, Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, and Ghana, we have shown that providing a simple loaf of bread can restore hope and dignity to thousands of people every day.

We invite everyone to join us in supporting these efforts, so together we can continue to deliver relief and empower vulnerable communities to face hardship with resilience and hope.
