Cries Behind Walls: The Story of Ghena and Her Father

When a detainee's child asks her mother, "Where's Daddy?", tears choke her. How can she tell them about the hunger, the beatings, and the four walls? She settles for saying, "He went on a trip and will be back soon," full of hope. Here, a detainee is born twice upon release, and joy abounds.
But the savagery of hateful souls transformed the name of Ghena's father from a detainee to a martyr. He was killed under torture in the regime's prisons seven years ago, leaving behind his wife, son, and twelve-year-old daughter, Ghena. These are stories of pain written with tears and anguish.
