Amidst the escalating humanitarian crises sweeping through many regions worldwide, the Gaza Strip remains a symbol of civilian suffering, living under harsh conditions due to continuous siege and severe resource shortages.
Ulfah empowers Gaza’s youth through education and vocational training. We aim to cultivate a new generation of leaders to drive development and change.
With the escalating need for humanitarian support, the role of non-profit organizations like Ulfah becomes prominent. Ulfah plays a vital role in extending a helping hand to affected families.
By organizing a major humanitarian campaign in Egypt aimed at assisting Palestinians from Gaza, Ulfah united the efforts of volunteers from various countries and backgrounds, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, to provide comprehensive and impactful support. This campaign included qualitative initiatives to aid families, students, the injured, and children, making a real difference in the lives of thousands.
In addition to supporting medical students, Ulfah provided financial assistance to 75 students from Gaza residing in Egypt. These monthly allowances enabled these students to cover living and educational expenses, helping them achieve their academic and professional aspirations.
Ulfah organized a special meeting with a number of injured individuals to provide them with psychological and material support. This initiative focused on meeting the needs of the injured who suffer from physical and psychological effects due to the war, helping them regain a part of their normal lives.
In response to the severe food shortage suffered by Gaza’s residents, Ulfah distributed 12,100 food baskets benefiting over 60,000 people in the Gaza Strip. The baskets contained essential items to meet families’ needs for at least a month. This support was not merely temporary aid but provided families with an opportunity to overcome critical times and ensure food for their children.
With the increasing number of displaced persons within the Gaza Strip due to the destruction of homes and infrastructure, Ulfah provided 200 equipped residential tents. These tents were not just shelter but represented a hope for temporary stability for over 1,000 people who had lost everything.
Believing in the importance of education as a means of rebuilding societies, Ulfah sponsored 75 medical students for a full year. Financial support was provided to these students monthly to ensure the continuity of their studies. This initiative not only serves the students but also contributes to building future medical cadres capable of serving the community.
In a step aimed at improving quality of life, Ulfah fully furnished the homes of 4 families. This included providing the necessary furniture and bedding to make these homes suitable for dignified living, restoring hope to these families after their long suffering.
Widows are among the most affected groups in humanitarian crises. Therefore, Ulfah sponsored two widow families and their children for a full year, providing monthly assistance to cover their basic needs. This initiative not only provided financial support but also gave these families a sense of security and stability.
Cases of premature babies are among the most vulnerable and in need of specialized care. Ulfah provided sustainable financial and medical aid for a full year to support these cases, contributing to improving these children’s chances of survival and alleviating the burden on their families.
Through these initiatives, Ulfah has been able to achieve a tangible impact on the lives of thousands of beneficiaries. The numbers reflect the scale of the work, but they are not enough to illustrate the positive impact felt by every child, student, and family who benefited from these efforts. The cooperation of volunteers from different countries and backgrounds has shown the true power of human solidarity.
Ulfah does not offer temporary aid, but rather invests in building a bright future for affected families. Every donation is a building block in this construction, and every hour of volunteering is a candle of hope in the lives of others. Join us to witness together how devastation transforms into life, and pain into hope. Together, we can make a real difference and build a more humane and just society.
