The Sacrifice (Al-Adha) is a great act of worship that brings a servant closer to his Lord. It is a confirmed Sunnah (practice) of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and one of the best deeds on Eid al-Adha is distributing meat to the poor and needy, for in that is blessing and mercy.
“ulfah” organization strived to alleviate the suffering of the afflicted through its Eid sacrifice project, defying the wars and crises that have engulfed many countries of the world.
Meat is an essential nutritional element for the human body, indispensable due to its nutritional value and its role in maintaining the body’s health. The absence of meat from the tables of many, especially on occasions, negatively affects their psychological and physical health and makes them more susceptible to diseases.
Continuing its relief efforts, ulfah continued its distinguished endeavors in bringing joy to these needy people. Over ten years, ulfah has been able to implement the Eid Sacrifice project, whose success has continued to this day. Through this project, ulfah sacrifices have reached more than 700,000 people in the last five years, targeting the most needy groups in four countries ravaged by wars and famines.
In the face of the economic challenges that have swept through Nigeria and caused famines affecting vast parts of the country, “ulfah” took the initiative to provide urgent humanitarian assistance. This assistance was represented in the distribution of sacrificial meat to more than “5000” families, which contributed to alleviating their suffering and bringing joy to their hearts.
17,500 portions of meat have benefited more than 87,500 people over the past five years in Idlib, Al Bab, Baza’a, Qabasin, Azaz, Jarablus
1,500 meat portions from calf sacrifices reached more than 5,000 people in Yemen, where these portions were distributed to affected families. This step affirms ulfah commitment to expanding its charitable work to include the largest number of needy people in various parts of the world.
No challenge deterred it from its goal. In the Gaza Strip, with the outbreak of war, ulfah continued its humanitarian journey by providing sacrificial meat to the people. The total number of beneficiaries reached more than 25,000 people, divided into two phases:
Meat is a vital component of proper nutrition. Providing meat to IDPs is not just a relief effort, it is an investment in their future, as good nutrition in childhood greatly affects health and development in later life.
ulfah believes that everyone deserves a dignified life, and in the same vein, ulfah has worked to ensure that meat is on the tables of the poor wherever they are by expanding its work to reach the most vulnerable communities affected by wars and natural disasters, with the aim of providing support and emergency relief, and building a more sustainable future for these communities.
ulfah has sought to achieve its humanitarian goals by establishing strong strategic partnerships with international and local organizations. These partnerships have proven effective in reaching thousands of beneficiaries and providing them with the necessary assistance.
